Hey hey .. well .. since my twin&I was choppin it up on FB about the good times at YC .. I thought it deserves a blog .. it sure was the best time E.V.E.R!(: Sooo, lets begin shall we(: The day we left for YC was my birthday and it sure was the best gift(: This year YC was held at the University of Santa Clara .. my first YC was in Utah .. that summer is still unforgettable(: Anyways, this year was great! I sure am lucky to go twice .. usually, you have one chance to attend these events .. high five to June birthdays;) Har Hur .. hehe. Anyways, hmm .. I will share with you a couple of experiences .. sit bakk relax .. &enjoy. The first night was a dance (its usually on the last day) .. but the dance was pretty fun .. we got to celebrate my 18th birthday(: Anywhoos,this year was pretty full .. my brother was there as well as my dad .. ofcourse(: The dorms was different from the dorms in Utah .. but it was pretty awesome. I roomed up with my BestBud Pesi Tangitau .. we were neat freaks -__- lol. There were 4 buildings provided for our youth .. it was pretty big. The building I was in was packed, crowded, and LOUD! The other building(all girls,DUH) was pretty desserted .. poor darlings in there must've been bored .. but we did get to swing by their building to cheer em up(: The curfews was pretty .. uhm, hahah .. didnt go according to plan. Lol! Everyone didnt wake up or go to bed on time .. good thing we didnt get kicked out -__- Anyways, here was somewhat our everyday sched. ;;-Early calls: wake up at 7:00 am, get ready, go eat breakfast(which was different everyday .. yukky sorta .. LOL .. but the earlier you get there the better! Plus, be grateful righ ??)
-Attend class (Workshops) .. different classes ofcourse.
-Head for lunch .. freetime(or so we call it .. it wasnt really freetime. We just wanted to hit our dorms and lay down. Lol)
-Sports .. dinner, than the evening programs (Devotionals) (:
-Hang out with everyone (campus curfew .. 11:00PM? wait, no, 10:00pm?) Well, whatever the time was, I remember everyone just stayed out late anyways and just talked, laughed, play around, singin w/ uke, etc.
-After 12:00? More fun! haha .. just dont get caught by your leaders ;)
So, theres the short everyday sched. (by me). Its longer but just summin' it up. Anyways, the classes was pretty good(: One class in particular that I'll never forget was Bishop Fonua's class. Why? In this class I ate an ONION! Maaannnnn! It was pretty bad .. why'd I eat an onion? Long story short, I volunteered to sacrifice for my class as Jesus Christ sacrificed for us. Buuut, I didnt know what I was going to do .. than BOOMMM! He took out the onion! AAAAHHHH! I had onion breath for the rest of the day, but it was worth it(: My whole class all sobbed up watching me eat that onion .. it was a lesson well-learned(: Sports time was pretty good .. fun(: Hmm .. the evening programs was pretty good .. the speakers was great .. touched everyone. Than there was the after 10:00 pm breaks. Hmm .. another thing was the last day, Friday. The last day to get together and the last dance. Now this is a youth dance i've never seen! Lol! Everyone got along very well(: Everyone participated in every beat .. the games was fun too. But, the fun didnt end there .. it ended at our dorm(: My roommate&I was already in our bed bouta knock out .. than outta nowhere .. BAAAANNNG!! In comes Gbaby turning on the lights yelling at us to get up! Man, we should've locked our door!;) haha .. but good thing we didnt because .. after we exit our room, our fun began(: We roamed from room to room, one end of the building to another, just being loud and being idiots! LOL .. than we ended up at the front lobby .. one couch per person .. just laughingggggg!!! Idk what we were on but we for sure was NUTS! Nuts I tell you!! We started from one story, laughed .. went to another .. laughed louder .. another story, MORE LAUGHTER! I've laughed this loud, but not this long! It was as the more stories we make up, the louder we laughed! Man, it was pretty crazy, yet fun (: Idk how thick the dorm doors were but no one didnt seem to wake up! LOL! So we laughed laughed laughed, how long? 4-5 hrs!? HAHAHA! yeaup! Our stories was that great;) LMBO! Anyways, what ended the night was when me,pesi,Gbebz and her leaders drew on their girls' face .. we ran downstairs and woke up our leader SELA(my aunty). Kay, now THAT .. was bad! LOL! Haha, Gbebz&her leaders was scared but they were safe upstairs .. downstairs ?? Not so safe .. lol! Ofcourse .. me&Pesi got caught downstairs .. we waited in our dorm for 5 mins til our leader goes bakk into her room .. Pesi looked out(thinkin our leader went back to bed) .. buuuuut, our leader was sitting on the stairs! HAHAHAHA! Okay! Major fail! LOL! So our night ended =( But that last night I will never ever forget:) YC week was pretty cool:) Everyone bonded well .. everyone got to know each other better(: I'd say YC this year was worth paying for .. ofcourse they all are(: So the next day was time to pack up. As we were about to leave, we looked back one more time to the place where we made friends, had some great laughs, and experienced great things(: Some good memories we created(: Thinkin about that one week always makes me want to cry .. it sure was the best week(: <333
